1. Descriptive Adjectives

These adjectives describe the characteristics or qualities of a noun.
(Estos adjetivos describen las caracteristicas o cualidades de un nombre)

Examples:

• Color: red (rojo), blue (azul)

  The car is red. (El coche es rojo.)

• Size: big (grande), small (pequeño)

  She has a big house. (Ella tiene una casa grande.)

• Shape: round (redondo), square (cuadrado)

  The table is square. (La mesa es cuadrada.)

• State: happy (feliz), sad (triste)

  He is a happy child. (Él es un niño feliz.)

2. Quantitative Adjectives
Adjetivos Cuantitativos

These adjectives indicate the quantity of something.
(Estos adjetivos indican la cantidad de algo)

Examples:

• Some: few (pocos), many (muchos)

  There are many apples in the basket. (Hay muchas manzanas en la cesta.)

• All: all (todo), some (algunos)

  All students must attend the meeting. (Todos los estudiantes deben asistir a la reunión.)

These adjectives indicate possession.

Examples:

• my (mi)

4. Demonstrative Adjectives

These adjectives are used to point out specific things.

Examples:

• this (este/esta)

• those (esos/esas)

5. Comparative and Superlative Adjectives
Adjetivos comparativos y superlativos

Comparative adjectives are used to compare two things, while superlative adjectives are used to indicate the highest degree of a quality among three or more things.
(Adjetivos Comparativos son usados para comparar dos cosas, mientras los superlativos son usados para indicar el grado más alto de una calidad entre tres o mas cosas)

Examples:

• Comparative:

  My house is bigger than yours. (Mi casa es más grande que la tuya.)

• Superlative:

  She is the tallest girl in the class. (Ella es la chica más alta de la clase.)

6. Ordinal Adjectives

These adjectives indicate the order of something in a sequence.
(Estos adjetivos indican el orden de algo en una secuencia)

Examples:

• first (primero)

  He finished in first place. (Terminó en primer lugar.)

• third (tercero)

  This is my third attempt. (Este es mi tercer intento.)
